Believe it or not, our small island has a ton of delicious places to eat. You can get everything from fresh seafood to authentic Latin food to the best slice of key lime pie you've ever had.
With such a long list of restaurants you could eat at, we had to narrow it down for you so you could do something else on the island beside fighting over where to eat. We asked Key West Aloe employees where the best place to g chow down in Key West and came up with this list.
Tucked away behind Grunts Bar, Garbo's Grill is a restaurant with a small, but mighty menu. Run by a husband & wife duo, this food truck sells tacos, burritos, burgers and hot dogs so fresh and delicious you'll never want to eat anywhere else in Key West. It doesn't matter what you're craving, Garbo's has the perfect meal.
Have you ever ate a hot dog next to a rooster? No? Then you haven't eater at Bo's Fish Wagon. This open-air shack turned restaurant serves some of the best fish sandwiches on the island. The location itself has a lot of character too. You will never get bored at Bo's Fish Wagon with live music, live chickens and signs almost everywhere to read. If you don't have time to eat, at least take a quick peek inside. We promise you won't be disappointed.
D.J.'s Clam Shack really lives up to their tagline -- "where northern & southern seafood meet." The restaurant is located on Duval Street and, if you're not looking for it, can easily be missed. Our favorite item is the Maine Lobster Roll but to be honest, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Don't take our word for it, D.J.'s Clam Shack is so good, the location was featured on Food Networks' Diner, Drive-in & Dives!
Both the food and the atmosphere at The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. are reasons to make a reservation at this island restaurant. Our favorite thing on the menu is their chicken and waffles.
In the middle of Old Town Key West, Amigos Tortilla Bar is the best place to get traditional Mexican street tacos. Their fresh, square tortillas are engineered to hold for filling and to reduce spills. Who wouldn't want that! On top of that, Amigos Tortilla Bar has the best street corn on the island. Great food and a great location is the reason why Amigos made our list.
